Music by The Piano Brothers

Joseph (Joe Magic) Abraham passed away suddenly on November 15, 2016.

He was born September 6, 1953 to Agnes and Abe Abraham who have preceded him in death.

Joe graduated from Firestone High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Hygenic Corporation for 28 years then the Akron public school system until he retired in 2015.

Joe's favorite passion was magic. He was a member of the Akron Magical Arts Society and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He generously donated much of his time at Children's Hospital and homes for the aged, performing his magic and card tricks to entertain those who needed cheering up.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Lee) Buchwalter, Rosalee (Greg) Byles and brother, Ron Abraham; nieces, Lori Buckwalter-Honetor, Christy Washer; nephew, Bryan (Carol) Buchwalter and Steve Wallace; great-nieces, Anna and Siarrah.

Calling hours will be from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 4th, 2016 at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron. The Akron Magical Arts Society will perform the "The Broken Wand Ceremony" followed by a memorial service.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Carovillese Club (across from Dontino's), 570 E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave., immediately following the calling hours.

Joe came to our home for a Christmas office party and performed his magic for all of us. He engaged everyone there and was a huge hit at our party. He loved being there as much as we loved having him. He had recently lost his mother and everyone at the party felt his deep loss. Everyone there (except for spouses) were in the medical profession so there was a lot of compassion in the house going his way. We all have wonderful memories of Joe. So sorry to learn of his passing. We are in FL right now and can't come to his memorial service, but our prayers go to the family.
