Helen Paolucci

Helen Paolucci, 57, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2023.  If you knew Helen, you were blessed to know a very gentle, loving wife, mother, grandmother (babcia), daughter, sister and wonderful friend to everyone she knew. 

Helen was born April 1, 1965, in Cleveland, to Ed and Betty Rospotynski.  She graduated from Erieview Catholic High School and the University of Dayton. 

She taught at St. Sebastian Catholic Grade School in Akron where she met her loving husband, Tom.  They were married at St. Sebastian Church in September of 1989 and were blessed with two sons, Tommy (Gina Frisone) and Joey Paolucci and grandchildren Serafina and Giovanni. 

Most recently, Helen has spent many years as the Office Manager of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church where she cherished the many friendships she made while working there. 

In addition to her parents, husband, children and grandchildren, Helen is survived by her siblings, Tony (Fran) Rospotynski, Linda (Gary) Dempsey, Annie (Eric) Neumann, Cathy Rospotynski, and Beth Baszuk (Mike McIntosh) along with many other extended family members. 

Helen was preceded in death by her mother- and father-in-law, Edmund and Norma Paolucci as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Family and friends may pay their respects at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St. Akron on Sunday March 19, 2023 from 2 to 6 pm. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Monday March 20, 2023 at Blessed Trinity Church.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Donations in Helen's memory may be made to Blessed Trinity Parish, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave. Akron, OH 44310.
