Sandra Lebeth (Wilson) Green

Sandra Lebeth (Wilson) Green, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 9, 2022.

Sandy was born August 27, 1943 and was raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio until she married her high school sweetheart Bob in 1963 and he moved her across the bridge to North Hill where she lived the remainder of her life.  

Sandy was happiest when she was surrounded by children.  She was lucky enough to stay home and spend the majority of her life doing what she loved most, raising kids; not just those of her own but also foster children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many others along the way. She was a child at heart and her kind and caring soul appealed to all.  She loved doing arts and crafts with the kids and proudly displayed them all over her home.   Mrs. Green spent over 30 years and countless hours as a member of the PTA at Jackson Elementary School, where she received a lifetime achievement award from Akron Public Schools.  Sandy was loved by so many on the Hill through her lifetime, she loved to sit on her porch swing and wave to everyone who passed by.   She spent several years as the beloved sample lady at BJ Wholesale Club where she met so many wonderful people.  Continuing her love for kids she also volunteered at Head Start as a Classroom Grandma.

Sandy was a lifelong fan of Days of Our Lives, and all the kids knew when 1’clock came around that it was time for their nap. Like sands through the hourglass, she lived all of the days of her life to the fullest.  She was the life of the party and loved celebrate anything, shedding a tear for almost any occasion.  Sandy loved her Starbucks coffee (anything full of sugar) and a cold margarita with salt (especially at Chi Chi’s).

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, of 57 years, Robert.  Sandy is survived by her four children, Tamela Green, Sue (David) Fears, Valerie Green-Bryant, and Jason (Christina) Green; grandchildren, Jessica and Victoria Kaelin, Ryan Green, Corey and Kobi Bryant, Chloe Green and her honorary grandson Josh White; great grandchildren, Elena, Ethan, and Kaelin; the entire Delnay and Vest families, and so many family friends. The family is grateful for the care and support provided by the entire Summa H5 and Palliative care team who treated her like the queen she was through her final days.  

To celebrate this amazing woman the family is having a Celebration of Life Party.   All are welcome to come see the family and share your favorite memory at the Polish American Club, 472 Glenwood Ave (enter off Dan St), Akron Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5pm – 7:30pm.
