Mary Kee-McCreary (nee Bratta), age 69, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 23.
She was born on December 12, 1952 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Mary Bratta.
Mary touched many lives throughout her lifetime, but none so much as the countless students she taught during her 41 years as an educator at Christ the King, NACS, and St. Anthony School in Akron.
Mary was also a proud member of The Sicilian-American Club and the Sons of Italy and never said “no” to a game of euchre. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending quality time with her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her brother, John (Marti) Bratta, sister, Ann (Mike) Simcox, nieces and nephews, Chris (Osi) Zimmer, Melissa Bratta, John Bratta, Ryan (Eileen) Simcox, Julianne Simcox, and Stephanie (Corey) Robertson, great-nieces and nephews, Annie, Libby, Maeve, Donovan, and Jack, and special friend, Carlos Lopez.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday November 2nd at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron. Friends will be received in the church one hour prior to mass. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Anthony of Padua School where Mary attended as a child and concluded her teaching career.
