Frances Ann Ciraldo (Demita) passed away on Sept 3rd, 2021 peacefully in her home.
She was born on August 29th, 1939 in Akron, Ohio. An orphan at the age of seven, she and her brother, Tony, were fostered by the Roarty family of Barberton, OH. Frances graduated from St. Mary’s in 1957, married and had five children. She was an accomplished LPN and later, as a Cardiac ICU RN who worked at Hill Haven Rest Home, Summa Health Systems, and St Edwards of Fairlawn. “Franny”, as she was called by many, married Anthony Ciraldo Sr in August 2nd, 1975. Together they raised their six children Diane, Mark, Rick, Mike, Bob, and Tony Jr. in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Fran opened her home to many, welcomed many at their table, and enjoyed having her children and grand children around her. She expressed her deep faith by passionately caring for others and was recognized by her profession for 40 years of nursing service.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to all of those who cared for Fran in her battle with Lewy Body Dementia (LBD). Most especially, Yamaris Quinones, who provided loving care in the home for Fran. Additionally, the Summa Hospice Team, especially Marianne and Jennifer, provided excellent care for Fran in her final days.
Fran is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Rafeal and Anna Demita, brother Anthony Demita, husband Anthony Ciraldo, her son Michael J. Eckman, and her grandson Lealon. She is survived by her sister, Rachel Perretta, loving children Diane Pierce (husband Tim) and her son Kyle, daughter Emily; Mark Eckman Sr. and his children Alicia, Mark II, and grandson Temujin; Rick Eckman (wife Angela) and daughter Jenna; Bob Eckman (wife Cathy) and son Michael and daughter Sarah; and stepson Anthony Ciraldo Jr (wife Kristen).

Mass of Christian Burial will be Sept 11th, 10:00am, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
