Daniel (Dan) Carano

Daniel (Dan) Carano, 54, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024. 

Born in Akron to Ernie and Marie, he resided in the Akron area his entire life. 

He lived his life in the fast lane, pushing the limits. Dan loved dirt-biking and 4-wheeling with his kids, muscle cars, and drag racing. He enjoyed making sauce for the weekly spaghetti dinners at the Carovillese Club with his dad. 

He joins his father in Heaven. Left to mourn his passing are his mother Marie, sons Dante and Darren (Cassandra), grandchildren Braylan and Kinsley, siblings Johanna (Scott) Davis, Michelle, and David, his best friend Dominic, and his loyal companion cat Tito. 

He is also survived by his nieces, great-nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins, too numerous to name. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 4th, at 11am at St. Anthony’s Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 - 10:30am prior to the Mass at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St., Akron. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association. 

Mass will be live-streamed on St. Anthony's website.
