Nettie "Fortunata" Marie (Pileggi) Buzzelli passed away February 15, 2021.
Nettie was born to Louis and Grace (LaMonica) Pileggi on September 20, 1926. She retired from Goodyear Aerospace (Loral) after 30 plus years as a secretary. Nettie and Leonard enjoyed their lives together traveling and you could always find Nettie recording Leonard's music at all his gigs. She will be lovingly remembered for her pizzelles and pecan tarts.
Nettie was preceded in death by her son, Jack Leon Foutty; husband, Leonard "Buzz" Buzzelli; sisters, Theresa Pileggi and Concetta Wintrow; brothers, Joseph and Sidney Pileggi; grandson, Robby Badini; and parents, Louis and Grace Pileggi.
Nettie is survived by daughters, Judith Ann (Foutty) Nicolosi (Michael) and Janice Marie Badini; grandchildren, Jack Foutty Buckley, Gina Fisher (Bob), Rochelle Barbieri-Butts-Eagleson (Roger), JoAnna Barazza and Anthony Badini; great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Mariana, Brittany, Allyson, Gio, Brianna, Alexa, Alec, Maria, TJ, Angelo, Makayla and Kierra; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Swartz; and a host of relatives and friends.
Thank you to the caring and loving staff and residence at Sunrise Assisted Living. Mom loved her Bingo games and Bailey, the dog. Thank you Ohio Living Rockynol for taking excellent care of our mother.
At Nettie's request, (and due to the covid) there will be no calling hours and no viewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 pm Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 83 Mosser Place Akron. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Humane Society or to St. Anthony Church.
