James Homer Fritz, of Bath Township, passed away February 12, 2019. Born August 18, 1942 and married 57 years to his Stow High School sweetheart, Karen (Archer), Jim was a kind and gentle man. Jim never had a bad word to say about anyone as it was against his personal code of ethics. Loved by all, Jim never made an enemy, but only a very long list of friends. Jim was well known in the community as a flooring expert for 50+ years. Jim enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, bowling, softball, and travel, but nothing gave him more pleasure than cheering on his children and grandchildren in their activities.
Preceded in death by son David, Jim is survived by his wife Karen, sons Jim and Dan, daughter in law Jackie, and grandchildren Paige, Daniel, Davey, and Cassie. As a faithful Christian Jim looks forward to joining his son Dave as well as other loved ones in heaven.
Services will be held Saturday, February 23rd at Church in The Valley, 2241 Everett Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264. Calling hours at 11:00 followed by a service officiated by Pastor Joe Caruso at 12:30. Flowers may be sent to the church Saturday morning.
“Go be with God you lovely man”, Mom.

I really don't know how to express my grief of losing Jim. Jim was like a brother to me after losing my brother. Jim was the most generous person anyone could know. He helped people in need and always, I mean always, had a positive attitude. This world is not the same without my buddy. My prayers are with the family in this sad time, but there is so many memories to treasure as Jim lived his life to the fullest and touched so many hearts in his short stay on earth. I can only think that God was in need of a most gentle and just plain good person in Heaven and he got one of the best. God Bless you Jim and the family. I look forward to seeing you again down the road and we maybe we can start a trio bowling league with my brother Lowell. God Bless you and I miss you.

I met Jim and Karen when I started working at Sto-Kent lanes over forty years ago. Jim and Karen and the boys would come and bowl Saturday nights. We would bowl and the boys would get to play pinball too. Jim was the hardest working, nicest, kindest man you could ever know. Every step I take in my house is on Jim's excellent work. I always afraid he didn't charge me enough because he was such a good friend. No matter how busy he was he would always find time to help you out. I will really miss his input at our occasional friends dinners we would have. My wife and I fell blessed to have known you and your whole family. love always , Gary and family

Words cannot express how saddened and shocked we are to learn of Jim's passing. He was one part of life that was constantly there to help all his friends and family. When we moved to New Jersey, the Fritz's were right there to help us. Jim could always be counted on . Although we haven't seen each other as much as we'd like, it was always a pleasure for us to get together. We often reminisce of our trips together and miss those good times. Farewell, our dear friend. We miss you. Ron & Susan
