Posted by: Glenn Saltzman Sun October 09, 2016 | Dear Family: I read of Ronald's passing in the BJ and wanted to convey my condolences to each of you for your loss. I never met Ronald, but was given one of his metal sculptures (2.5x7) commissioned by Dr. Donna Lightel (in the early 1970's) on the occasion of her graduation from KSU. The sculpture depicts my interest in flying and the US Navy and hangs in my study. I regularly receive compliments regarding this piece and it has given me much joy over the years. As a person of similar age and years of marriage as Ronald, I send my heartfelt wishes for peace to each of you. With Love, Glenn Saltzman |
Posted by: Kathy Kline Mon October 10, 2016 | To Ron's family...I first met Ron many years ago as he was my instructor in a calligraphy class @ the Quirk Center in the Falls. His talent, sense of humor, and true compassion for sharing and teaching were so appreciated. I ran in to him many times over the years in town, and it was good to see him. He was such a talented person, and I was sorry to hear of his passing. May all the wonderful memories you now cherish, bring you peace, joy and comfort in the days ahead.
