Michael V. Sullivan, 29, passed away peacefully February 1, 2015, after a courageous battle with AML Leukemia.

Michael's positive attitude and outlook on life inspired and touched everyone he knew and even those he never met.  He aspired to be a positive influence on everyone.  He loved golf, The Buckeyes, and of course, The Fighting Irish.  He was infamous for random movie quotes in all situations.  If you ever had a chance to be around him, he always made you laugh.  In one word Michael was amazing.

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Vince and Coleen Sullivan; his favorite sister, Anna Marie (Ian Grove) Sullivan; his Angel, Fiance' and the love of his life, Victoria Caruso; also by his grandparents, Larry and Carol Clements, Jay and Grace Sullivan; and so many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am, Friday, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends will be received from 2 to 8 pm, Thursday, at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron, OH.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael Sullivan's name to The Metro Health Foundation for the Burn Unit, 2500 Metro Health Dr., Cleveland, OH 44109.

Vince, Coleen, Anna and the extended Sullivan and Clements families my sincere condolences.

Unfortunately most of my time with Michael was spent in hospitals after his horrible auto accident and then with AML leukemia. I got to know Michael and after he was diagnosed with AML I found the visits emotionally straining because of the similarity of his situation and my kid brother Casey who passed from AML in 1990 under very similar conditions and treatment.

The many benefits that were held for Michael were impressive for the turnout and effort that friends and relatives did to make them happen. Fortunately you all have a great emotional support system with your many friends and relatives.

I am so sorry to read the obituary of Mr. Sullivan. My prayers are with family and dear friends. I would please like to share a Scripture for comfort. In the Holy Scriptures at Revelation chapter 21 verse 4 it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." May you continue to love and support one another, especially during this time. And find hope in our loving heavenly Father's promise found at John 5:25-29. Again very sorry.
